Amazake Plain can be enjoyed on its own cool or warm, and it adds natural sweetness and velvety texture to other drinks like milk, sparkling water, or fruit juices. It is also a natural alternative in recipes that require sweetening, from teriyaki sauces to cupcakes.
Amazake made from 100% koji malted rice does not contain alcohol because it is never fermented with yeast. The koji fungus simply breaks the rice starch down to a clean and simple sugar which gives the drink its sweetness. It can be enjoyed on its own, mixed with milk or fruit juice, or used as a natural sweetener in recipes.
