Location
Masumi's Suwa Kura and Fujimi Kura breweries are located in central Nagano Prefecture, an area also known as "Shinshu". Centered on Lake Suwa, the Suwa basin is 800-900 meters in elevation and is surrounded by the peaks of the Yatsugatake Range, Mount Tateshina, and the Kirigamine Highlands. We take great pride in all that characterizes the Suwa region: incomparably clean air and pure water, deep winters and cool summers, majestic mountain vistas and beautiful Lake Suwa, bubbling hot spring baths, ancient sites and unique festivals that date from the dawn of Japan's history, and of course the people of Suwa, whose inquisitiveness and industriousness have given rise to both a rich craft tradition and to a thriving high-tech industry.
